Delicious, especially with Indian dishes, but also to simply “snack” or with hamburgers.
Ingredients:
200 ml vinegar (normal natural vinegar is fine)
200 grams of sugar
1 tsp sambal
1/2 tsp turmeric or turmeric
1 tsp coriander powder
1 leek
1 cucumber
1 winter carrot
Preparation:
Wash the leek and cut it into narrow rings. Slice the cucumber into thin slices, I just use a cheese slicer for this. Peel the carrot and cut it into thin strips (this is super easy with a peeler)
Bring the vinegar, sugar and spices to the boil. Remove the pan from the heat once the sugar has dissolved.
Mix the vegetables well with the warm vinegar mixture. Stir this well after 10 minutes. Repeat this 3x. The vegetable is then covered with liquid and you can simply let it get nice and cold.
Drain well before serving.
Enjoy your meal.
