Our Christmas cookies to wish the family a Merry Christmas.
Ingredients:
200 grams of soft butter
200 grams of fine granulated sugar
1 egg
Pinch of salt
400 grams of flour
Chocolate and small smarties for decoration.
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 160°C.
Mix the butter and sugar together until it is light in color, creamy and all the sugar is well incorporated. Mix in the egg until it is also well incorporated and it is a homogeneous mass.
Sift the flour and salt into the bowl and mix until the dough forms a ball.
Place the dough wrapped in foil in the refrigerator until well set.
Roll out the dough to approx. 4 mm, and cut out the desired shape. I clearly used circles.
Place the cut out cookies in the freezer for 10 minutes so that they go into the oven properly. This ensures that the cookies keep their shape and do not spread.
Put the cookies in the oven and bake them for 10 minutes. If they are very frozen, they will need longer in them, but you will see that. They should turn slightly brown on the outside.
Allow to cool thoroughly before decorating. And tip, let the chocolate cool slightly before using the piping bag. Then the chocolate will not run out so quickly.
Enjoy your meal
