Kip-salon

Chicken parlor with sweet potato

Dish for 4 people

A hair salon is normally with fries and shawarma, but this one is slightly different. This one has sweet potato fries and instead of shawarma, seasoned chicken thighs.

Ingredients:

300 gr. chicken thigh fillet

2 to 3 sweet potatoes

1 red pointed pepper

2 cloves of garlic

Small bag of iceberg lettuce

1/2 cucumber

Bowl of (small) cherry tomatoes

Parmesan cheese

Olive oil

Salt and pepper

Garlic sauce (you can also make this yourself, but bought one is nice and quick)

For the herbs:

1/2 tsp black pepper

3 Tbs oregano

0.5 tsp chili powder

3 tsp thyme

1/2 tsp cinnamon

2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp salt

Olive oil

Prepare:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (hot air).

Peel the sweet potato and cut it into “fries”. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the “fries” on it. Pour some olive oil over it, not too much, just cover it. Sprinkle salt and pepper over it and toss it together.

Make sure the fries are evenly distributed on the baking tray and bake them for about 2x 15 minutes. Turn them halfway through.

In the meantime, cut the onion and sweet pepper into pieces. Cut the chicken into pieces. Mix the herbs together and add a few tablespoons of olive oil so that it mixes/marinates easily with the chicken. Rub the chicken with the herbs. Let the chicken stand for a while.

Grate the Parmesan cheese.

Before the fries are ready, heat a frying pan on the stove. Fry the onion in this. Add the pepper and chicken and fry well. The chicken should definitely be browned. Press the garlic over the onion and fry it briefly.

When the fries are ready, turn the oven back to 150°C (hot air).

Place the sweet potato fries on the bottom of an oven dish and spoon the chicken mixture on top. Arrange the Parmesan cheese over the chicken and place it back in the oven. Leave this in the oven for about 5 to 6 minutes until the cheese has melted.

Prepare the salad by cutting the cherry tomatoes into quarters, the cucumber into small pieces and removing the seeds! Mix this with the iceberg lettuce from the bag.

As soon as the cheese has melted, remove the chicken salon from the oven. Serve it with the salad on top and the garlic sauce on top. And extra garlic sauce on the side for the real enthusiast.

Enjoy your meal.
